Description
This was one of this year's final projects; the entire class had to make stamps that somehow honoured the Bauhaus Design School in Germany. I didn't have high hopes for this class...the Bauhaus was a beacon of Modernist design, which I can rarely stand...well, at least in architectural designs. And all the example Bauhaus stamps I saw online looked exactly the same, so I didn't exactly have much to go on at first.
At some point though, I found a brief guide to the principles of Bauhaus poster design, and some time after that I came up with the concept of making weird geometric patterns with quotes by various lecturers that I thought sounded quite good. A poor start, but as time went on I ended up with some designs I really liked!
The bizarre colour scheme you can see here came about towards the end of the project, when I glanced at the brief again to ensure I'd fulfilled the terms of the project...turns out I'd missed the part that said we had to use at least two print styles from the previous project. So I ended up mixing Papercraft and 3D Text, and then I edited the whole thing on the computer.

I don't like such a design. It reminds to me something mechanistic, soulless and evil. Microsoft Windows 8!!!!!!!
