Temeraire - Tswana Kingdom Map

Description

I have been meaning to revisit my map of the world as it appears in the Temeraire series - [link] , for one, I need to make sure South America actually looks like that, now that the new book is out - and recently I started researching (in other words, browsed Wikipedia and Google) for information on what could make up the fictional "Tswana Empire".

Based on the various pages I flickered through, I made these borders. They include Lesotho (where Moeshueshue was really king), the Sotho-Tswana speaking areas of South Africa, and Botswana (and the Caprivi Strip from Namibia...for some reason which I can't recall now), with the border extended to include Mosi-oa-tunya - which, convieniently, was unoccupied at this point, and neighboured the Rozwi Empire (not mapped, but which covered most of Zimbabwe; picture it as a near-circle between the Tswana Kingdom and Mozambique), which I assume is also the "Monomatapa Kingdoms" mentioned in the appendices of Empire of Ivory.

Of course, this is really only a map of where I THINK the Tswana Kingdom definitely has land. They might have effectively claimed the land all the way to the coasts, now that they've gotten rid of the colonists (although the Lunda peoples might still exist as a separate state to the northwest, since they were considered an enemy). On another note, it's mentioned somewhere that the Tswana Kingdom farmed elephants, and this map ( [link] ) shows that a large number of elephants would be located on what is the northern border of this map.

AAAAAAARGH! I want to read the description so much, but when I read "now that the new book is out" I immediately stopped. The thing is, the new book hasn't been published in my country yet! And it won't come out in at least another six months!
And I think that the word "South America" in your description was a typo, because the Tswana are from (South) Africa.

And one more thing: could you give me one hint about the book, one tiny clue that will give me almost zero information and drive me to insanity? I loved those when I followed the Inheritance series.
