The Elder Scrolls 3.142: Risk!

Aaand here's another Risk game made from CKII Mod resources! As noted in my journal, while testing out the Westerisk game, one of my friends noted that a Tamriel Risk could be fun, and I pointed out that there was a CKII Mod for Tamriel out, which would make it easy to convert...and so here it is!

The advantage this board has over the Westerisk map is that it can be used for various scenarios as a result of the colouring system...this was something I added while drawing up Cyrodil and Skyrim; I decided to use different colours to indicate the historic regions or counties that existed in Oblivion and Skyrim. Although at first this was meant to be a visual aid, I later realised it would allow players to make the game board larger or smaller depending on what kind of game they wanted to play...for instance, if they wanted to fight over all Tamriel, they could treat all similarly-coloured provinces as a single province, but if they wanted to do something much smaller (High Rock versus Hammerfell, for instance), they could use all the provinces!

I did make a few minor changes to the CKII map, though...Colovia and Nibenay (the two halves of Cyrodil) had borders that didn't match the descriptions given in Oblivion, and Solstheim and Vvardenfell are slightly different colours to indicate how they changed regions over time...provided I read the history right, Vvardenfell was destroyed or at least made inhabitable some time after Oblivion, and Solstheim was gifted to Morrowind. I did try to make each region in Cyrodil correspond with one of the Counties in Oblivion, but I wasn't able to figure out the borders of the eastern settlements, so I gave up and made the Nibenay Valley its own region.
